Meet Pooka, BD
Pooka (she/her) is a Rocky Mountain certified doula and placenta encapsulator. She has a strong focus of working intimately with others, empowering her clients and partners, and holding space throughout the birthing experience.
She thrives on being an advocate, cheerleader, and resource for all birthing people. Practicing evidence-based care and deeply values the client having a positive experience and mental health. Her passion for birth and support inspired from the birth of her nephew and from the Marshall fire. Drawn to support others and realizing the impact a community can make on healing is what fuels her.
Outside of the birthing community she's an avid gardener, loves being outdoors, live music, kayaking, and being with her partner and fur babies.

What do you do for fun?
”I really enjoy being on the water. Kayaking, beachside, fishing, paddle boarding, if it’s on the water, I’m about it! Being outdoors, exploring new places really brings out that inner child in me.”
What inspires you?
”I live in a place where I’m surrounded by inspiration, the community, the mountains. My inspiration comes from all the love and lessons I’ve had in my life, giving me the ability to be there for others in a positive, nurturing way.”
What’s your favorite food?
”BLT’S and cannolis!!”
What’s one other thing you want people to know about you?
”I love to be there for people, hear their stories, laugh, and make connections. Just don’t come at me with peanut butter!”
